The First Week

My first week in Aberdeen was a roller coaster of emotions.
First of all, I was sick the first few days with a pretty bad cold so I stayed in bed.
Secondly, Jetlag is real and it sucks. I slept in until 5p.m. my first day here because Aberdeen is 7 hours ahead of Calgary. Sleeping in until 5p.m. also made it difficult for me to fall asleep which led to a cycle of sleeping all day and being awake all night. It took me about 9 days to be completely adjusted to the time change.
My classes started after I had been in Aberdeen for 5 days. Classes here are very different then in Canada. All of my classes are graded on one large project or one exam which makes that one assignment worth 100% of our grade. That is very daunting because at home my exams are generally worth 20%.
Robert Gordon University is very interesting, I quite enjoy it. The biggest difference I notice between RGU and MRU is that RGU is much more focused on hands on work instead of theory.
